Darcy has a real passion and enthusiasm about Real Estate. After buying her first home in 1994 with her husband, Darcy became enthralled with the endless possibilites of home improvements. Buying a fixer upper never seemed like a great idea at the time but it was what they could afford. A true passion for remodeling was born but a career in Real Estate was off for another decade. Prior to Real Estate, she taught elementary school at Beckford Elementary for Los Angeles Unified School District and graduate classes in the Education department for California Lutheran University. After her children got older, she received her Real Estate license in 2004 during what has been called the "boom years". After her first year, she got involved in selling residential investment property in the High Desert. The High Desert was the most affordable area in all of California and home builders were building like crazy. Businesses were sprouting up and this was the start of a new community. The next couple of years kept her busy working with investors; buying, selling and renting. She has experience in completing many successful 1031 property exchanges and qualifying a property as an investment. Her and her husband own 2 residential investment properties. Due to the market decline, this is another great opportunity for investors and Darcy is experienced and willing to help with any of your investment needs. She is licensed to sell real estate in California and belongs to MLS associations covering ALL of Southern California.
About Me
In 2008, my husband and I made the decision to relocate from Simi Valley to Carlsbad. We wanted to live by the beach and fell in love with Carlsbad after visiting the area. My husband is an avid surfer and his dream was to live where he could surf. Mission Accomplished! I am now an expert on coastal properties in Carlsbad. We searched for our new home for more than 1 year. We decided that we loved the community of Terramar and the private beach access that is part of the Terramar Association where neighbors can become members. It is an incredible place and one of the best surfing spots in the area. There is nothing better than enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine and good friends.
We have 2 children, ages 18 and 13. My daughter currently goes to Mira Costa Community College and my son goes to Valley Middle in Carlsbad. Both excellent schools and we couldn't be happier about our move. My husband has one of the most interesting jobs around. He has worked in the Motion Picture business for almost 20 years as a stuntman and now a stunt coordinator. His latest work is the new Star Trek.
We are both fortunate to be living in Carlsbad. We have lived in many cities in California and Carlsbad is by far the BEST!
